The Council is asked to adopt the attached resolution acknowledging a donation from The Bank of Elk
River for sponsorship of community events.
Background/Discussion
The Bank of Elk River has been a sponsor of the Riverfront Concert Series since 2007. With this
donation, the bank has become the exclusive sponsor of the Riverfront Concert Series. In addition, The
Bank of Elk River is a participating sponsor of Kidstock, Chalk it up!, Safety Camp, and the Farmers
Market.

RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING
CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE
CITY OF ELK RIVER
WHEREAS, the Ciry of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS, the Ciry of Elk River received a $14,000 donation from The Bank of Elk River
with the intent it be used by the Parks and Recreation Department for the Riverfront
Concert Series and other department special events; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Ciry Council of the City of Elk River,
by at least atwo-thirds vote, to acknowledge the support and commend The Bank of Elk
River for their donation.
Passed and adopted by the Ciry Council of the City of Elk River this 18`'' day of May 2009.
