Staff recommends the City Council approve the proposed site plan application fox remodeling and
lighting as indicated on the exhibits dated Apri115, 2009.
Summary
Staff is presenting this remodeling application to the Council for review and approval because staff feels
the proposed project/remodel is a deviation from the existing design that is currently on site. Staff felt
that it is important that the Council is aware of the changes as proposed.
The current conditions of the Buffalo Wild Wings and theater building are painted (gray, blue, and tan)
rock face concrete block. The applicant is proposing to paint the entire Buffalo Wild Wings portion of
the building tan. Along with the repainting, they are also proposing a continuous LED accent light along
the entire cornice line. The Elk River Plaza PUD does not prohibit this type of lighting and does not
indicate any design standards to follow.
Staff is recommending City Council approval of the proposed design changes.
