Commission Interviews and
Appointments
PLANNING COMMISSION
Tom Dillon recently resigned from the Planning Commission. The
Commission has 7 members. Attached is the Commission roster. The City
has received three applications from individuals who are interested in
interviewing for the position of Planning Commissioner. The applications
are attached. Interviews have been scheduled as follows:

The term of office for the appointed planning commissioner will run until
December 31, 1997. This date coincides with Tom Dillon's term of office.
ACTION REQUESTED:
Interview Planning Commission applicants. Appoint one of the applicants to
complete the term of office vacated by Tom Dillon.
PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION
Shawn Donais and Robin Tuttle have recently resigned from the Park and
Recreation Commission. The Park and Recreation Commission has 8

Lakes, I realize how important the planning pro-
cess is to an area. The decisions made now have a 9ery large
effect on life i~ the.city five and ten years .from now. Since
we plan to stay here for many years, I would like to be involved
in these decisions.

I have been a computer consultant for 8 years and have been in the
computer industry for 25 years. I served on the Planning Commission
in:Lino Lakes for 3 years and was a member of the Centennial Fire
District' Steering Committee for Circle Pines for 2 years. The last
three years have taught me many things about the planning process
including the pitfalls to look out for.
