Hot Topic sl of the Month
The Parks and Recreation Department is in the process of gearing up for our extensive
summer program offerings. May is a busy month of training summer staff and putting
the final touches on program planning all while wrapping up spring programs. An
extensive variety of summer programs will be offered for participants of all ages. Some
examples of youth opportunities include sports classes in t-ball and soccer as well as
enrichment opportunities in Safety Camp and Summer Playground Adventures.
Opportunities for adults include summer softball, Farmers Market, and canoeing down
the Mississippi. Families will have the opportunity to enjoy Movies in the Park, Kidstock
music entertainment, and the Riverfront Concert Series at River's Edge Commons Park.
Over 60 types of programs are being offered with over 100 individual class opportunities.
