SUBJECT: Redistricting
At the May 11 Council meeting, Councilmember Motin requested a discussion on
redistricting. I would suggest that this discussion be delayed until mid to late 2010. There
isn't much information to report at this time. Attached is a Minnesota Redistricting
Timetable for 2010.
I would anticipate that there will be some training offered to local governments in mid-2010.
Census data would be distributed in early 2011 and we would begin redistricting at this time.
