AUTHORIZATION TO MAKE A CONDITIONAL OFFICER
OF EMPLOYMENT
This is to inform the City Council that we have completed the
selection process for the position of police officer.
The top two (2) candidates are Michael Suchy from Elk River who is
one of our police resrves, and Robert Zarrett from St. Louis Park.
I am requesting authorization to make a conditional offer of
employment to both of them, contingent on them successfully passing
the background check, psychological evaluation, and their
physicals.
If everything goes well, I would expect them to start sometime the
latter part of September. Funding for these positions will be from
the Clinton Crime Bill and Minnesota COPS FAST Grants.
