SUBJECT: WILD AND SCENIC ORDINANCE
AMENDMENT/PH OA 96-11
As noted by staff at the August 19, 1996 Council meeting, there are elements
in the DNR's proposed Wild and Scenic River Ordinance that are
unacceptable to the City. This ordinance as drafted would make areas of
existing commercial property nonconforming amongst other problems.
Staff is still waiting for a meeting with the DNR, that they were to set-up, to
discuss the issues. Staff recommends that this agenda item be table
until the Council's October 21, 1996 meeting to be held at Elk River
City Hall at 7:00 PM.
