The EDA, HRA and City Council are asked to each adopt the attached 2009-2012 Economic
Development Strategic Plan. The EDA recently adopted the attached Plan at its June 15t1i meeting.
Background/Discussion
On April 13, 2009 the HRA participated in a work session for the update of the Economic Development
Strategic Plan for years 2009-2012. The work session was facilitated by Kent Eklund of Cincinnatus, Inc.
Additional participants included the City Council and EDA. Over the past month the draft Plan was
reviewed and edited by the EDA and HRA. Upon adoption of the Plan staff will prepare a detailed
workplan which identifies specific actions, timeframes and responsibility for achieving the strategies
within the Plan.
