SUBJECT: MRPA Award of Excellence- Rivers Edge Commons
ITEM 5.2.
The Minnesota Recreation and Park Association has selected River's Edge Commons as a
recipient of the MRPA Award of Excellence for 2009. The Awaxd of Excellence program
recognizes agencies or organizations in Minnesota for outstanding achievements in parks,
recreation, and leisure services.
Presenting the award to the Mayor and a representative of the park commission will be Jon
Oyanagi. Mr Oyanagi is President-Elect of the MRPA and Parks and Recreation Director
with the City of Brooklyn Park, MN.
