Action Requested
Approval of quote by Nokomis Roofing to repair the roof on the public works garage.
Background/Discussion
For the past several years, we have dealt with leaks in the shop roof. The leaks are generally caused by
deterioration of the portion of rubber membrane exposed to the sun. The 2009 Capital Improvement
Plan (CIP) includes monies to remove and replace approximately 10 feet of rubber membrane around the
parameter of the streets/parks building.
Nokomis Roofing is very experienced in dealing with this type of rubber membrane roofs and includes a
10 year warranty with their quote.
Financial Impact
Low quote: Nokomis Roofing - $32,500
Second lowest quote: Small Town Values Contracting Company - $35,112
Monies are budgeted in the 2009 Government Buildings fund in the amount of $37,275.
