Adjustment to facility use policies at Lions Park Center, Trott Brook Barn and Elk River Library
community room.
Background /Discussion
Since these facilities have opened, the need has arisen to review and update the rental and usage policies
that were originally developed. The Elk River Lions Club use of Lions Park Center is covered by a
separate policy.
Other Information to Consider
The City Attorney has reviewed these policies and recommended the following changes:
Staff Recommendation
Lions Park Center and Trott Brook Barn Policy Changes
- The following policy language be removed:
The usage may not be forprayer or other worship services.
- The following policy language be added:
Elk Kiver 501(c)3 groups will be allowed up to three usages per month under the 50 > (c)3 guidelines.
If an Elk Giver 50 > (c)3 group requires more than three usages in a month, the group will
be charged the Elk Diver Kesident rental rate for the additional rentals.
Elk River Library Community Room Policy Change
- Paragraph two be changed to read:
The meeting room is available: free of charge, for use by Elk Kiver community members orgroups for
non-commercial meetings, which are open to the public.
- Paragraph seven delete:
The usage may not be forprayer or other worship purposes.
