STEPHEN ROHLF, BUILDING AND
ZONING ADMINISTRATOR ~
DATE:

City of Plymouth. Kendra did a good job for the City and we will miss her.
Staff is recommending the position vacated by Kendra is filled as follows:
· At a pay grade 8, which is $9.37 to $15.26/hour, same as Kendra.
· Orientation period ends on June 30, 1997 with a step increase in July;
subject to a successful orientation period.
That "Zoning" is removed from the title. The job would involve
environmental issues (recycling, solid waste, wetlands, shoreland, flood
plain, etc.) and zoning and public nuisance code enforce. Staffs suggested
new title is "Environmental and Code Enforcement Officer".
Having zoning in the titled made it appear that planning was one of this
person's primary functions.
A minimum of a four year degree in an environmental discipline will be
required.
· The position will be supervised by the Building and Zoning Administrator.
If the Council is agreeable, staff will advertise to fill the position vacated by
Kendra as outlined above.
