Irrigation systems are susceptible to leaks and breakage. By suggesting that owners of irrigation
systems have their contractor provide a "record-drawing" of the system would be helpful should
damage occur. Since Elk River Municipal Utilities is not the owner of these systems we should
not be responsible to hold the record drawings.
Attached please find a customer hand-out that could be provided through the City Hall -
Building Division along with other current handouts regarding irrigation systems.

Dear Customer,
Please consider obtaining your irrigation systems "record drawings" . The information
on irrigation layouts is critical in case of leaks or breakage within your system. By
having these documents on-hand you may save your property from unwanted damage or
large water bill due to leakage. If you are having an irrigation system installed, we
recommend having your irrigation contractor provide you with adequate "record
drawings" information. If you have further questions, please contact David Berg 763-
441-2020.
