Action Requested
Adopt attached resolution acknowledging the monetary contributions from the Eddy Foundation
pursuant to Minnesota State Statutes 465.03.
Background/Discussion
Representatives from the Eddy Foundation were present at the September 8, 2009, City Council meeting
and presented $2,000 to the Elk River Police Department and $2,000 to the Elk River Fire Department.
Financial Impact
The Eddy Foundation donated a total of $4,000 to the City of Elk River.

RESOLUTION 09-
RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING
CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE
CITY OF ELK RIVER
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River received a $2,000 donation from the Eddy Foundation
with the intent it be used by the Elk River Police Department fox aback-up SWAT sniper
rifle and replacement duty sidearms; and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River received a $2,000 donation from the Eddy Foundation
with the intent it be used by the Elk River Fire Department to purchase firefighting
equipment; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the Ciry of Elk River,
by at least atwo-thirds vote, to acknowledge the support and commend the Eddy
Foundation for their donation.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River this 21S` day of September
2009.
