The hail is a vital link in connecting downtown Elk Rivet to the Northstar Fail station and Anaka County's proposed Mississippi River Trail. ~n September 2009 the DNR announced the first grants funded by the Legacy Amendment revenue. There is over ~3 million available for hails in the Regional Trail Legacy Program.
