The Council will receive a petition £rom the property owner of the bowling alley requesting the City
demolish the bowling alley and assess the costs to his property taxes.
As pair of Ibis process, the City has requested quotes which are due on Triday, October 30. The quotes
are to include costs for abatement of any hazardous materials ~an asbestos inspection and test found no
asbestos}, complete removal of the building and accessory improvements including the horseshoe,
volleyball areas and parking lot}, and legal, documented disposal of the resulting debris. The site will be
leveled and seeded. This work is to be completed by December 1, 2009.
The quotes will be reviewed on Monday and staff will provide theit~ recommendation verbally at
Monday's meeting.
