6. Recreation Mana er's Report -Steve Benoit
Recreation Manager, Steve Benoit shared that summer programs concluded and staff
efforts are switching to fall programs. Enrollment for fall programs has been
positive.
Mr. Benoit shared the Senior Center Coordinator's Report.
7. Director's Report -Bill Maertz
Director of Parks and Recreation, Bill Maertz shared updates on the Great Northern
Trail project, Woodland Trails Restoration Project, Statewide Health Improvement
Program and the Riverfront Concert Series.
Mr. Maertz shared that Elk River residents are entitled to visit the YMCA four times
a year at no cost. This free use is part of the funding partnership between the City
and the YMCA.

9.1. Volunteer of the Month
Recreation Manager, Steve Benoit recognized Laurie Larson as this month's
Volunteer of the month. Laurie volunteers her time 1-_elping at the Elk River Arena.
9.2. Community Events
Recreation Manager, Steve Benoit showcased the Summer Playground Adventure
(SPA) and Summer Sports Camps in a power point presentation.
9.3. Park Highlights
Planner/Parks Planner, Chris Leeseberg showcased several neighborhood parks in a
power point presentation.
