Our fall program opportunities are in full swing and the response has been positive. One
of our new Holiday events was the Great Pumpkin Roll which was held on Saturday
October 7`h at Lions Park. The event gave participants the opportunity to decorate
pumpkins then race them down the sledding hill at Lions Park. Participants commented
that this was a unique event and their families enjoyed the experience.

• Currently 529 memberships have been paid for 2009 (306 Total for 2008)
• Saturday Hours began on Sept. 19. The Activity Center will be open on the first and
third Saturdays of the month from Sam-12noon. Attendance is averaging about 35
people.
• Fundraiser for C.A.E.R at the Senior Center 11-10 Baked Potato Lunch &
Friendship Bingo
• New "Textile" group forming at the Activity Center during Sat. hours and Knitting
group starting at the Senior Center (350 Evans)
• New "Breakfast" Book Club beginning on 11-9
• "Author" Talk 11-9
• 11-7 Free Qigong Demonstration at the Activity Center

November Programs
• Winter Session of Learn to Skate Classes begins 11/30.
• Captain's practice will end and High School Hockey Games will begin this month.
• I want a Skate Dress for Christmas Promotion begins.
Special Marketing Efforts
• Arena Newsletter will be sent out this week to update families with students in
our programs about the arena happenings.
• A tri-fold outlining the Barn as a venue for events has been completed.
• A facility reservation form for the Barn has been completed and will be posted on
the city's website.
• The Elk River Figure Skating Club's Holiday Spectacular will be listed in the
Senior Center's Good News Letter.
