CITY OF ELK RIVER
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE
CITY OF ELK RIVER ZONING MAP TO REZONE CERTAIN PROPERTY
FROM I-1 (LIGHT INDUSTRIAL) TO
RIC (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL)
CASE NO. ZC 97-6
The City Council of the City of Elk River does hereby ordain as follows:
Section 1. The duly adopted Zoning Map of the City of Elk River is hereby
amended to rezone the property described as:
See Attached Exhibit A
Section 2.
findings:
The rezoning is being approved based on the following
1. The rezoning will be consistent with adjacent residential zoning district.
The existing land use of park and community facilities are allowable uses
under the Rlc zoning district.
The rezoning to Rlc gives a more accurate representation of the long term
land use needs for this area.
The rezoning ehminates the possibility of additional multi--family being
constructed in the vicinity of the Community Education building.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from
and after the date of its publication.
Passed and adopted this 22nd day of September, 1997 by the City Council of
the City of Elk River.
