The purpose of this letter is to inform you of the City Council's support for the
School District's purchase of the former County Administration Building in
downtown Elk River.
The Council concurs with the HRA that the School District would provide the best
possible reuse of this building. The Council is in support of this purchase because of
the potential positive benefits it may have for the School District and downtown Elk
River. A School District presence downtown would be an excellent addition to the '
service/retail uses already available in the central business district.
Thank you for the steps you have already taken to proceed with this acquisition.
We look forward to a continued, positive working relationship with the School
Board.
