Foy your review a~•e 4 different land use concepts. The sl~etches ale the product of trying to
address the issues we hea~:d dining the public comment portion of the Focused .Area Study.
Staff believes that changes to the area ale inevitable and, in many cases, out of our contiol.
Anticipated changes include changes to access, marl~et forces, and land value.
These playas represent divergent land uses designed to facilitate discussion. Staff is not
reco~~nending tla.e EDA/ PC/ or CC adopt one plan over anothex•; rathe~.•, Staff is
envisioning a dialogue where the group will choose pieces of each plan, which will tiansfer
to one formal land use plan.
The Council may hear or ,will Hear some issues that are not addressed in tla.e plan. Many
issues, including, for example, the issue with sig~lage or wayfinding, will be addressed in the
text portion of the plan to be developed later dais winter.
Copies of the plan were sent to each property owner, along with this memo. The Hope is
that the public can comment and discuss the plan with accurate information, equalizing the
information, and increasing the buy-in of the plan once adopted.
