SUBJECT: Consider Application for Transient
Merchant License by Melissa Moore to
Sell Educational Books
Melissa Moore has made application for a transient merchant license. Ms.
Moore is requesting to sell educational material for students. The material is
published by the Southwestern Company.

The Southwestern Company has been selling its merchandise in the City of
Elk River for the past three to four years. To date, the City has received no
complaints regarding the educational material that has been sold.
Melissa Moore is requesting to sell the educational material by going door-to-
door in the City of Elk River from the months of June through August. Ms.
Moore has submitted her application and application fee. The Police Chief
has signed off on the required background check for Ms. Moore.
ACTION REAUESTED
Council motion to approve a transient merchant license for Melissa Moore.
