Police Department Subject: Safe and Sober Grant Request
In May of this year the city council authorized the police
department to submit a request for the 1995/1996 Safe and Sober
Grant funds. We are submitting this request at this time; however,
I need a Resolution adopted by the city council formally
authorizing me to be the fiscal agent and administrator of the
grant funds.
The requirement for the resolution is basically a formality. If
you have any questions, please see me.

• RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT
Be it resolved that the Elk River Police Department enter into a grant
agreement with the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Office of
Traffic Safety for the project entitled SAFE & SOBER COMMUNITIES
during the period from October 1, 1995 through September 30, 1996.
Tom Zerwas, Chief of Elk River Police Department is hereby authorized
to execute such agreements as are necessary to implement the project on
behalf of the Elk River Police Department.
