SUBJECT: Tractor with Roadside Mower Purchase
On April 30, 2001, the City Council authorized advertising for bids to purchase
a tractor and roadside mower attachment.
The bid opening was on May 8, 2001, and Doyle Equipment of Lakeville was
the only bidder and offered a 1999 John Deere 6410 4x4 tractor with 1,111
hours and a new Diamond boom mower for a bid price of $50,055.00 including
sales tax.
Operator Chris Holzem and City Mechanic Bob Mahutga personally inspected
the tractor and find it to be a very good unit for our intended uses.
Recommendation;
City Council authorize the purchase of tractor and boom mower from Doyle
Equipment of Lakeville for $S0,0S5. Funding source is 2001 Council
Contingency.
