DATE: August 28, 1995
SUBJECT: Elk River School District SAC Charge
After talking with Gary Santwire, the school district, and yourself, it appears
the school district will be moving into this location at 200 5th Street as a
temporary shelter for this school. A credit should be given to the school
district in an amount of two SAC units. This is based out of the Metropolitan
Waste Council for churches. In addition, the school district should be
charged SAC units based for classrooms, since this will be an increased use.
This SAC charge has not been determined since plans have not been
submitted for this building. An estimated figure of seven SAC units was
used based on a rough drawing given by Gary Santwire.
Since this is going to be a temporary facility, the SAC charges paid on this
• building should be credited to the school district for their future permanent
site. However, if this new facility is larger and is capable of housing
additional students, there will be an additional SAC charge to be paid at that
time.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding my findings, please do not
.hesitate to call me.
