Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River City Council was called
to order at G;30 p,rn. by Mayor Klinzing.

5.1. Hire Bowfin Alle Demolition Contractor
Ms, ~ohnson presented the staff report, She stated staff received 7 bids with the lowest bid
coming from Chadwick Co. Inc, in the amount of $19,G20.QQ. This amount includes the
entire demolition of the building and accessory improvements, capping two wells, and
leveling and seeding the property. The work will be competed by December 1, and the cost
to be assessed to the property owner o£ the building, George Larson.

Mr. Maurer provided an update on the 193r~ Avenue improvements and showed
photograpl~s of the progress in the improvement in and around tlae area, which wall be open
for traffic flow later in tlae week. He indicated that the intersection of Evans Stxeet and ~93xd
Avenue has been rebuilt geometrically to be ready fox a signal system in the future. He also
indicated that in future years ttafffc counts would be taken to monitor major intersections
along tl~e ~ 93~'~ Avenue corridor.
5.3. Discuss Council worksession A endas
Ms. Johnson presented the staff report. There were no additions made to either the
November or December worksessions.

Councilmember Moon remanded the council of the Northstax Commuter Rail launch event
set fox Saturday, Nov. I4 beginning at ~~:3~ a.m.

Ms. Johnson asked councilinembers to contact her if they were interested an attending the
Three Rivers Community Foundation ceremony on November 5, where Don Heanzman
and others from the community would be receiving awards fox their involvement in the
community.
Mayor Z~linzing congratulated these community members and stated she would be out of
town beginning Nov. 5 to attend the wedding of leer son in Germany. She also regretted
missing tlae Northstax Commuter Rail launch event as well but will be returning to
Minnesota in late November. Acting Mayor Zerwas will be handling the council meetings in
hex absence.

City Council at G:49 p.m.
