SUBJECT: Truck Tarps

As our recycling, composting and brush grinding operation continues to
expand, we have a need to cover our dump truck loads of leaves and grass
clippings to prevent the wind from blowing material out as we haul from the
drop off point to the composting site. An automated retractable tarp system,
see attached literature, costs in the neighborhood of $1,500.00 to purchase, and
we would install them in our shop.
I am asking permission to purchase one unit for a sample and if that proves to
be effective, to purchase two more so that each of our tandem dump trucks
would have a tarp system.
Funding source would be Landfill Abatement Funds.
