The applicant is seeking input from the City Council on the design of their proposed VA Clinic at Elk
Ridge Center.
Summary
The exterior materials will be stone, 2 colors of brick, Hardie lap siding and panels, glass, metal roofing,
and wood. The site plan is being modified to have the front entrance on the south side. The building will
be Silver LEED Certified.
This is the building they are pricing for their proposal for January 4, 2010. They will not be able to make
any changes to the exterior that requires any additional costs since they are locked into lease rates with the
VA.
Staff has only reviewed the design briefly and will provide a copy of the proposed design as well as give
an update regarding design standards and site placement at Monday's meeting.
