The ~•equested pu~:chase is paxt of the seven ~7} year replacement cycle fot• police
detective~administtative vehicles as established by the City Fleet Comrrlittee. The requested
vehicle will replace a 2002 Chevy impala. The requested vehicle make and model is the standard
detective administrative vehicle currently used in the fleet. The requested vehicle will be
purchased through the State contract from Thane Hawl~ins Polar Chevrolet, ~Ihite Bear Lake,
MN,
Financial impact

Funds have been budgeted i:n the 2010 equipment Replacement Fund in the amount of $25,000
to cover the purchase and set up of this car. The requested amount is fox the purchase of the car
only. The balance of the budgeted amount grill cover costs including squad tear down, setup, and
miscellaneous equipment purchases that may be necessary.
