As you are aware, Terry Maurer has decided not to accept the public wo~:ks director position.
~n Monday the Council should discuss how to move forward.
Currently, the dunes of the city engineer are more pressing than those of the public works
director. Thexe are pay estimates and federal and state papet~vvork to be processed on the
93rd avenue project and a trails grant to be filed by the end of January. The public works
director was not the lead on these items and has not been doing the work associated with
them; a contracted engineer has been completing that worl~. It is important that these items
are completed on time.
