The Midwest Countexdrug Training Center, located in Camp Dodge, Iowa, is offexing a free gaining
session fox officexs from the upper Midwest. The course, .H~i~h~ay Drub Interdiction for Patrol, is being
offered fxom Monday, February 22, 20I o thxaugh Fxiday, February 29, 20I0 at Camp Dodge. Lodging
and meals axe provided for officexs who have to gavel more than 50 miles. The only location this training
is being provided fox our region Eby the Federal government} is at Camp Dodge, All training, housing,
and meal costs during the training axe paid in full by the Federal government.
T know there is a prohibition on out-of-state travel and training, but the auxiliary cost to attend this paid
for training session would be very minimal and the training is essential to what our officers do,

The only cost would be the fuel to drive to Camp Dodge and several meals during transport. Camp
Dodge is 274 miles away, I would estimate 36 gallons of fuel needed fox this trip. Fuel cost is
approximately ~97.5G and meals are approximately $75, for a total cost of less than $200.
