Hot Topic(s) of the Month
• Anew initiative that was implemented in January is utilizing the YMCA
gymnasium during Parks and Recreation hours for community rentals. On
Thursday evenings an open gym program is offered through the Parks and
Recreation Department. The idea is to continue to offer the open gym program in
half of the gym and allow local youth athletic association to rent the other half.
The response has been very positive in that it took only a week for all the open
spots to be rented for the remainder of the winter and spring schedule.
