THISAGREEMENTmade and entered into by and between the City o~ ECk River hereinafter referred to
~s the "City" and the County of Upright hereinafter referred to as the "County",
U1IHEREAS, it is deemed to the best interest of all parties that the duties and responsibilities ofboth the
City and the County as to maintenance on Bridge ~65~ 5 and its approaches should be clearly defined.
NOUIITHEREFORE, IT ISAGREEDwith regardta said structure maintenance.
MAINTENANCE
CITYRESPONSIDLE FOR:
~~ }Maintenance of street lights;
~2} Removal of snowfrom sidewalk;
~3} Maintenance of slopeslberms and roadway on north appraach includes; turr maintenance,
bituminous maintenance, drainage and riprap maintenance};
~~}Snow and ice control from bridge and approaches;
~5} Removal ofmarkingslspraypaintetc, from visible surfaces afbridge structure.
COUNTY RESPONSIBLE FOR:
~~ }Periodic sweeping to remove sand and .debris and removing sandldirt from enpansion joints;
~2} Signing for bridge and approaches;
~3} Maintenance of slopeslberms and roadway an south approach includes: turf maintenance,
bituminous maintenance, drainage and riprap maintenance};
~4} Centerline and edge pavement marking includes stop bar}.
The agreement between the City and County shall be for a ane-year period and run from January ~ ,
''0~ g, to December 3~, ~D~ o, All maintenance responsibilities will be deemed "offsetting" therefore no
~yments will be required for the individual maintenance work which conforms to the areas stated herein and
performed under authorization of eitherthe City orCounty,
In the eventthatthestructure needs n°~ajormaintenancelrehabilitation an agreement detailing the work
and shared casts must be approved and accepted bythe City and County,
