SUBJECT: Rice lake Park Update
Attached please find an exhibit showing a concept design for a playground at Rice Lake
Park. The playground consists of a toddler play structure, age 5-12 play structure, swing set,
safety surfacing and a spring toy. This concept is for purposes of discussion and cost
estimating and is not a final concept. Color, play features and theme will be developed with
participation of the community.

All material is guaranteed specified. All work is to be completed in a workmanlike manner according to standard practice. Any alteration or division from above specifications

Our Ridges of Rice Lake neighbor, Mr. Dick Thompson, is donating
a portion of his land to the City of Elk River for the development of a
future park and trail system that would connect to the Ridges of
Rice Lake's paths and trails.
The development of quality parks, trails and open spaces creates a
high quality of life, attracts tax-paying businesses and residents to
oui° city and commuaa~ ~~~d incr°~se~ the value of neighboring
properties.
The Ridges of Rice Lake homeo~`,ners ..: -~e requesting the City of Elk
River to move R ~:te~d ~.~rith planning this project in 2010 and to
budget for the intended park and trails to be built on a portion of
Mr. Thomps~n's property, directly adjacent to the Ridges of Face
Lake Development in 201 1.
