Interview of Library Board Applicant
and Consideration of Appointment
INTRODUCTION:
Ail board and commission appointments have been made with the
exception of the Library Board.
BA CKGRO UND:
Marsha O'Brien's term on the Library Board expired on December
31, 1995. She has indicated that she will not be reapplying for the
Library Board (see attached letter from Marsha).
The city placed advertisements in the "Star News" and "The Current"
at the same time that ads were placed for other board and
commission vacancies. The City received no applicants for the
Library Board, and therefore, extended the deadline. The extended
deadline resulted in one application from Eleanor Holm.
Ms. Holm's application is attached for council review. Ms. Holm will
be available at approximately 5:15 p.m. on Monday evening for an
interview with the Council.
ACTION REQUESTED:
1. Interview Eleanor Holm
2. Decision as to whether or not the appointment to the Library
Board should be made.
