In February, I attended a Mn/DOT informational meeting at which game Mn/DOT
discussed two upcoming Highway IO const~.•uction projects that will affect the City of Ells
River. They areas follows,
p Project one is a four inch thicl~ bituminous overlay from County Road 43 in Big
La1~e to just west of Joplin Stx.~eet in Ells River. They will have a bid opening ir1 March
or April with construction to stmt August 2 and an anticipated completion date in
October. The pfoject's only major impact to the City will be some milling and grade
changes at Waco Street,
- Project two involves the reconstruction of pedestrian ramps at the intersections of
Proctor and Highway ~ 0 and Main Street and Highway ~ 0. Except for the area
needed for the actual construction, these two sites will have lithe impact on local
traffic. The project is scheduled for a start date of August 2 with completion in
October.
