July Park and Recreation Commission Update
Consider Park and Recreation Commission Applicants
At its July meeting, the Commission's agenda included:
Consideration of park dedication for Elk River Station, Hilltop Woods Estates 2nd
Addition, and Administrative Subdivision Request by Mike and Vicki Gwynn.
Consideration of new park names, which will be brought to the City Council for
consideration in August after a final review.
Review of the Park Department Subcommittee's work to date.
No action is required by the Council at this time regarding these issues.
Consider Park and Recreation Commission Applicants
Request
The Council is asked interview for applicants for consideration to two vacancies on the Park and
Recreation Commission.

Analysis
Staff has received applications from four residents to be considered for appointment to the Park
and Recreation Commission. The two vacancies that need to be filled are a three-year term
vacated by Ron Westrum at the end of the year 2000 and completion of a term vacated by
Stoffel Reitsma, which will expire February 2003.
