SUBJECT: Grant Update -Energy Related Grants
The city submitted three energy related grant applications and recently received notification
of the status on each of those grants:
^ Ice Arena lighting, ceiling, and boiler improvements: The full grant
request of $87,065 will be funded. The City Council previously approved
a city match of $39,417 for this project.
Project Conserve Phase II: The full grant request of $50,000 will be
funded. The City has an in kind match through staff hours dedicated to
the program.
^ Energy programs in commercial and industrial buildings: Despite a very
well written application and strong program proposal, the grant did not
receive funding.
Staff will continue to monitor additional grant opportunities and apply when we feel there is
an eligible project and matching funds, if any, are available.
