SUBJECT: Request for use of an electric golf cart
on city streets for medical reasons
Chris Zerwas has submitted a request to allow the use of an electric golf cart
on city streets in and around the neighborhoods of Mississippi Oaks and
Heritage Landing. The request is for her son Nicholas who is 14~/z years of
age. The golf cart is being requested for medical reasons as indicated in the
letter submitted to the Mayor and Council. Chris has informed me that her
son's physician will be submitting a written recommendation within the next
couple of days.
• The Cit Attorne is in the rocess of draftin an ordinance to allow the use

of golf carts on city streets for medical purposes. However, Chris is
requesting that the Council authorize the immediate use of the golf cart for
her son.
ACTION REQ UESTED
Authorization by the Council to allow the use of an electric golf cart on city
streets for Nicholas Zerwas.
