Consider Initiating Rezonings
Issue
Request the City Council initiate rezonings of selected properties to comply
with the Comprehensive Land Use Plan Map.
Background
Now that the Comprehensive Plan has been adopted by the City Council,
steps must be taken to begin implementing portions of that plan. The first
item that will be brought forward are rezonings to comply with the
Comprehensive Land Use Plan.
Staff has identified six areas to be considered by the Planning Commission
and City Council. If the City Council directs staff to proceed with these
rezoning applications they will be presented to the Planning Commission on
January 23rd and then forwarded to the City Council on February 20th.
A map highlighting the six areas will be presented at Monday night's
meeting.
Recommendation
It is recommended the City Council direct staff to proceed with the rezoning
applications of selected parcels in order to comply with the Comprehensive
Land Use Plan Map.
