Authorization to advertise for lead liquor store clerk for Westbound liquor store.
Background/Discussion
Due to the resignation of the full-time liquor store clerk at Westbound liquor, we would like to replace
this position with a lead liquor store clerk at Westbound liquor store. The reason for the position being a
lead liquor store clerk is due to the transfer of Assistant Manager Steve Tillman to Northbound liquor
store creating a need for some supervisory duties at Westbound liquor store. This position will assist
liquor store manager Dave Potvin in the daily operations of the store.
Financial Impact
With the upcoming retirement of Mike Donais and the recent resignation, the cost savings will still be
$35,000 to $40,000 per year. The lead liquor store position will be in pay grade 4 and the entire position
is funded from the municipal liquor store budget.
