SUBJECT: Park & Recreation Commission Agenda
Addition

The Chairman of the Park & Recreation Commission, Dave Anderson, has requested an
agenda addition for this October 2, 1995 meeting. At the September 13, 1995
Commission meeting, the Park & Recreation Commission approved a motion that
requested the City Council to reconsider its previous decision regarding concrete curb
around the planned Woodland Trails parking lot and entrance road. A month ago or so
the Council decided to not include concrete curb with this project. The request to
reconsider is being added to this agenda because of the timing of the bituminous work in
this park. Ifthe request got to the Council any later than this October 2, 1995 meeting, it
would be to late for the concrete to be incorporated into the project. Please see the
attached material from the Street/Park Superindentent Phil Hals for agenda item 5.7 which
will be added to the agenda Monday evening.

SUBJECT: Concrete Curbing on Parking Lot at
Woodland Trails Park
On September 13, 1995, the Park and Recreation Commission voted 7-0 to
request that the City Council reconsider installing concrete curbing around
the parking lot in Woodland Trails Park. The cost estimate for the entrance
road and the parking lot curbing is $16,000. The cost for the parking lot
alone is $6,000.
I spoke with a curbing company and was assured that the curbing can be
installed after the asphalt parking lot is paved.
The out of pocket costs so far include:
