SUBJECT: Hiring an Additional Laborer
The Council Contingency budget for 1995 contains funding for an additional
laborer position and the 1996 Street Department budget continues the
funding for the position.
I would ask for City Council permission to call back our three finalists from
our application process earlier in 1995 for update interviews, and then return
to the City Council with a recommendation for the final hiring.
Our work load continues to build and there will be no problem keeping this
person busy.
• Step A on the 1995 pay schedule is $7.41 per hour for this position.
