Staff requests authorization to solicit bids for the 2010 Seal Coat Project.
Background/Discussion
Please refer to the attached spreadsheet listing the areas to be seal coated. Staff will do plans and
specifications, maps, bid opening, and inspections.
Plans and specifications will include provisions to eliminate areas from the project if funding is not
available.
• Financiallmpact
The general fund budget for the 2010 Seal Coat Project is at $122,700, with an additional $47,300 in
impact fees, for a total of $170,000. In addition, the City parking lot seal coating budget is $30,531, of
which $24,531 is from the government buildings budget and $6,000 from liquor store funds. Plans and
specifications will include provisions to eliminate areas from the project if funding is less than the final
bid.
