SUBJECT: Meeting Schedule
A special City Council meeting has been called for the fifth Monday of the
month -October 30, 1995. This meeting was requested as our financial
consultant, Dave McGillivray from Springsted could be in attendance that
evening. Dave's attendance at the meeting is important in order to help
discuss the finances related to any type of public improvement project in east
Elk River. In addition to having a worksession on a future east Elk River
public improvement project, we will also have a number of other (hopefully
brief) agenda items to address. However, the main topic for 10/30/95 will be
an east Elk River public improvement project worksession.
The Council should note that on Monday, 10/30/95, the Minnesota Vikings
are playing the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football. This event will
make having productive discussions after 8:00 very difficult. It is suggested
that the City Council consider beginning its 10/30/95 meeting prior to the
typica16:00 starting time.
As sometimes happens in the fall, there are no agenda items in the file at
this time for the October 23, 1995, meeting. As the city is holding a special
meeting on the fifth Monday of the month -October 30, 1995 - it is
recommended that the City Council cancel its Monday, October 23, 1995,
meeting.
