Addition of Firefighters
Item ~ 3.3.
At this time the Elk River Fire Department Personnel Committee is recommending Council
approval for the addition of three ne~v paid on-call firefighters.
The Personnel Committee from the Elk River Fire Department has been in the process of
hiring new firefighters for many months. The committee has screened applications,
interviewed potential applicants, and has met to recommend the following names as potential
candidates:
· Jason Mayer
· Rich Neimela
· Owen deCathelmeau
All of the above are outstanding applicants for the positions of paid on-call firefighters for the
Elk River Fire Department. Each of the candidates has completed the firefighter physical, the
stress test, and the background check through the Elk River Police Department.
Action Requested
The Elk River Fire Department is requesting Council approval for the addition of these three
firefighter candidates for the paid on-call firefighter positions. If you have any questions prior
