Resolution Designating the Maximum Household Income Level
for Qualification for Deferral of Special Assessments Based on
Hardship
Attached is a resolution to set the maximum annual income levels allowed in order to qualify
for deferral of special assessments based on hardship for 2001. As in the past, the income
levels are based on the income eligibility guidelines for the State of Minnesota's Energy
Assistance Program which are 50% of the state median annual gross income.
Action Requested
The City Council is asked to approve the attached resolution designating the maximum
household income level for qualification for deferral of special assessments based on hardship.

A RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE MAXIMUM HOUSEHOLD
INCOME LEVEL FOR QUALIFICATION FOR DEFERRAL OF
SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS BASED ON HARDSHIP
WHEREAS,
Section 1404.00, Deferral of Special Assessments, of the Code
of Ordinances for the City of Elk River, Minnesota, states that
the Council shall annually approve, by resolution, a maximum
household income level in order to qualify for deferral; and,
WHEREAS,
the City Council has determined that the maximum household
income allowable in order to qualify for deferral of special
assessments based on hardship, assuming that the other
qualifications are also met, is as follows for 2001:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Elk River, Minnesota, that in order to qualify for deferral of assessments
based on hardship in 2001, the above household income requirements must
be met.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River, Minnesota,
this 27th day of August, 2001.
