SUBJECT: Business Registration/Inspection
At the April 5 Ciry Council meeting, a business owner approached the Council requesting
inspections be done on commercial property on a more frequent basis. Currently,
inspections axe only completed as part of a formal permit.
The business owner's request echoes a similar suggestion made by staff in early 2009.
In response to earlier concerns with business licensing, staff requests authorization to
develop a business registration program, similar to the State's procedure for beauty salons.
Staff will be at the meeting to answer questions and have follow-up conversation regarding
the issue.
